Establish backup and recovery acceptance for the retired portal #5122
Establish independent backup and recovery acceptance for the retired portal's retained database before its data-bearing resources can be retired. This is the remaining data decision under #4266.
Details
The stateless operation completed in run 39161262289, and the protection slice #4819 is now completed. Its acceptance receipt explicitly leaves backup and retained-data acceptance outstanding. All five current native children of #4266 are closed; none owns this remaining acceptance.
Bound storage and a Retain policy establish protection from deletion. They do not establish an independent recovery copy or demonstrate that the database contents can be recovered.
Timebox the first investigation to one active engineering day. Use the existing reviewed, least-privilege evidence and recovery paths. If the required proof cannot be obtained, record the specific missing mechanism and create a bounded delivery issue before ending the investigation.
Checklist
Identify the complete data that must be retained and its current supported recovery path, keeping exact identities and operational evidence private.
Bind an independent retained copy to the assessed data and record its integrity, retention and retrieval evidence privately; configuration, a scheduled job or Bound volumes alone do not satisfy this check.
Demonstrate recovery using the reviewed isolated validation path, with complete results and verified cleanup of any temporary resources. Preserve the original database and existing storage safeguards.
Record an explicit accepted or unaccepted retention decision, the evidence limitations and any delivery follow-up. A missing backup, failed restore or unperformed check is not acceptance.
Update Retire the unused Backstage scaffold #4266 with the decision and identify the separately reviewed remaining retirement work. Keep the parent open until its complete retirement and shared-service health criteria are verified.
Dependencies
Part of #4266. The completed #4819 is a prerequisite receipt; its stateless-completion and storage-protection verdicts remain valid within their recorded scope.
Notes
High-value continuation of started retirement work: a recovery decision prevents data loss and gives the parent a concrete next step. This capture starts no implementation and grants no production mutation, credential expansion or deletion authority.
