Lands #1218 by @rollroyces: nine wiremock tests for the Snowflake and Databricks error and lifecycle paths (auth failures, non-JSON 5xx bodies, an error code inside a 2xx body, canceled and pending statements). The first commit is the contributor's, unchanged; the second only applies
