I compiled your code and tried to run it, without success:

Hi,
any update here? I'm running into same message "ERRO[0040] Error extracting ASAR:"
Before that, I manually installed node with nvm as described here (the link to manual NodeJS install. I also installed asar with /home/user/.nvm/versions/node/v16.2.0/bin/npm install -g asar but the error message resists.
I'm using Manjaro, npm is version 7.13.0, Node 16.2.0
Please let me know, if you need more info.

Hey @Wildbill-Z , I'm using PoP_OS (ubuntu based). I'm going to containerize this in the next couple of days so all you'll need is Docker. There are just too many variables on user's systems. In theory, any install of a modern version of Node should work. I'm using:

• nvm: 0.35.3
• node: 14.3.0
• npm 6.14.5

@Wildbill-Z you should be able to replicate the environment by running:

nvm install 14.3.0
nvm use 14.3.0

and then re-running

Unfortunately, that didn't help. Installed 14.3.0, changed path in config.yaml and tried, but same error. Even after manually installing asar with /home/user/.nvm/versions/node/v14.3.0/bin/npm install -g asar and nvm use node 14.3.0 I'm getting the same error about asar.
Nevertheless, I'll use your snap with version 3.12.3 until you'll build a newer version or make it work with Docker.
