Shortcut for display mask and/or color channel does not work

Describe the bug

I tried to map a shortcut to display mask and/or color channel, and I can see the shortcut activates the mask icon but the mask does not get displayed on the image. It only works if I click on the mask icon.
In v5.6 this works fine.

Steps to reproduce

-Either try your already mapped shortcut or create one for "display mask and/or color channel"
-Go in a module that uses a mask and try the shortcut
-The display mask icon lights up but the mask does not show on the image
-Try the same operation but with mouse click instead and it works fine

Expected behavior

The shortcut should work just like the mouse click

I came to seek information about this shortcut: pressing "c" key should show parametric mask (according to Boris Hajdukovic video) but I can't find that "shortcut" in the preferences of Darktable. Is this being addressed?

You can map shortcuts to whatever keystroke combination you would like. The only thing mapped to 'c' is crop in darkroom, so if Boris' video showed pressing c to show a parametric mask, then he probably mapped it.

No the shortcuts c, m or a are mapped by default and can be used when flying over the parametric mask (sliders with 4 controls). This has always been done this way, see tooltip when you stay over the slider.
