Magic Mouse ( Apple ) no zoom function

• I checked and did not find my issue in the already reported ones

Describe the bug

When trying to zoom in/out an image in DT darkroom with the Magic Mouse nothing is happening .
Scrolling the sidebars does work in the module stack .

Steps to reproduce

Go to image window in Darkroom
Place the mouse cursor over the image
Trying to zoom in/out while swiping over the mouse surface up or down
Nothing happens

Expected behavior

The image should become smaller or bigger in the view size

This is (currently) expected behavior, as the scroll gesture cannot be mapped to zooming after switching to support typical pinch-zoom and two-finger panning gesture, see explanation here: #21027 (comment)

Ideally you should be able to achieve the same functionality by a pinch-zoom gesture on the Magic Mouse (cannot test, as I'm on Linux).

Looks like that it does work when pressing the ctrl key ...
Zooming does work all the way to 1600 % and back to 0%

@lietschi-bit with the option "enable touchpad gestures" switched off, or on?

Also, can you please explain with which gesture? "Scroll" or "smart zoom"? See apple doc:

I'm still not sure if you are saying that even scrolling while pressing CTRL does not work for you?

If so, you can also switch back to the old behaivor, so why bother?

In the meantime we can re-visit how we can handle the macOS / magic mouse specifics in GTK, which seems to be either impossible or doable with some trickery, as outlined in #21058 (comment).
The problem is, I'm willing to support but I'm neither running macOS, nor do I have a magic mouse, so it's really hard to progress.

trackpad gestures must be disabled in preferences to restore the former scrolling behaviour for Magic Mouse as well as for the trackpad.
Even on trackpad the zoom and pinch gesture isn’t ‚added‘ but replaces the scroll gesture to zoom.

@da-phil and @MStraeten ..... all sorted now .
I just disabled the " trackpad gesture support " in prefs . Et voila ... Magic Mouse does the perform the " normal " zoom function while swipe up and down on the mouse surface .

Think the issue can be closed , at least from my side .
