The shields.io PyPI download endpoint currently renders "rate limited by upstream service" instead of a number:

$ curl -s "https://img.shields.io/pypi/dm/adaptive-classifier" | grep -o '>[^<]*</text>'
>rate limited by upstream service</text>

pepy serves the same figure from its own data rather than proxying PyPI, so it does not hit that limit:

$ curl -s "https://static.pepy.tech/personalized-badge/adaptive-classifier?period=monthly&..." | grep -o '>[^<]*</text>'
>downloads/month</text>
>52k</text>

Only the downloads badge changes. The version badge still resolves correctly (v0.1.2), so it is left alone.

The shields.io PyPI download endpoint renders "rate limited by upstream
service" instead of a number. pepy serves the same figure (52k/month) from its
own data rather than proxying PyPI, so it does not hit that limit.
