[Feature Request] Ability to cancel a book search #82

Closed

Description

@codebude

Quoted from @DawidGardzinski in the original issue Feedback after 1-2 weeks of using Libris (#78).

If I click "search" after making a typo or entering the wrong title, I can't cancel the search from within the modal. I can close the modal and reopen it to achieve a similar result, but it would be nice to be able to cancel the search directly from the modal.

    What do you mean by "to cancel the search directly from the modal"? The search in the screenshot wasn't successful. You can correct the typo and simply hit "Search" again to start a new search. What exactly would a "Cancel" feature do differently?

    @DawidGardzinski Just adding you here so you see my reply – looking forward to your take on this.

    When I click “Search,” there’s no way to cancel the request from this view if I notice a typo (besides closing the modal). I have to wait for the response, which can take several seconds.

    Hi @DawidGardzinski I implemented a cancel option that shows up during active searches. Its part of #96 which is merged to develop branch now. Feel free to test and leave feedback if you think it needs more work.
