Would it be possible to add other ISBN providers such as BnF, Congressional Library, inventaire (https://wiki.inventaire.io/wiki/Entities_data) , ...
I ask because librislog suits my needs better than inventaire.io and I'd like to keep it, but inventaire.io finds way more books by ISBN search, although I have all three sources active in librislog.
I can have a look. Will put it to my "try out" list. Can you provide me some ISBNs that are not found with the current providers but are found with the new providers you suggested? That would be helpful for testing.
9791020923554 (L'heure du sud - Bertrand Badie) , 9782358722827 (Les espoirs de la civilisation - William Morris, 9782072716645 (Erasme - complainte de la paix), mainly french books as you see
I added the three mentioned apis/services as search providers in #109
It will be part of the next release. If you want to try it out upfront, you can use the LibrisLog Docker image with the develop tag or run it from code, by checking out the develop branch from this repo.
Would be happy to get some feedback.
I wanted to add a few german audio books which send me down a rabbit hole... Unfortunately, international providers lack most of the required meta data to simply copy the ISBNs or I'm too stupid to make Google Books work. Nevertheless, the German National Library (DNB) provides a free data service which also has most of the stuff I'm looking for apart from a convenient format.
Luckily someone already figured out the hard parts and wrote a little CLI including a XML to JSON mapper.
I don't know how fast I can come up with something working (FWIW the CLI works), but I'll look into this further and wanted to share it in the mean time. :)
Yes, I did setup a project & key and librislog was able to use them but did not get any results. So I did get curios and sent some requests via curl, maybe 10-20 in about 40 min, and hit a rate limit. My assumption is that limits were enforced because no payment method was configured. In the end my motivation to verify this was very low because the editions I'm interested in are also not available on https://www.google.com/books and I searched for alternative providers.

Covers could be fetched like this:

No stress! :)

@mj0nez you said Google Books isn't running for you. Have you seen the docs?
What exactly isn't working for you?
