LOLCODE spec: TROOF and NOOB are "for reference" but leak into valid programs #157
Found while marking the LOLCODE assignment (Fall 2026, 36 submissions). The quoted text is from lolcode/ and info/ on master.
spec/variables.rst: TROOF is "only include[d] here for reference"; NOOB is the type of uninitialised variables; "If the value cannot be safely converted, then it results in an error." Unclear: can a comparison be printed or assigned (VISIBLE BOTH SAEM 1 AN 1, I HAS A t ITZ BOTH SAEM ...)? Is VISIBLE x on a NOOB variable an error, an empty string, or NOOB? Students did all three.
Proposed fix: state that comparisons appear only before O RLY? and after MEBBE, and that reading a NOOB in VISIBLE, SMOOSH or math is an error that valid tests never trigger.
