Code Coverage with JaCoCo

JaCoCo is a free code coverage library for Java, which has been created by the EclEmma team based on the lessons learned from using and integration existing libraries for many years.

Setting up the environment

build.gradle

First task is to enable the coverage tests for both of the test types.

Applying the JaCoCo plugin for the Project

For the unit tests we had to write a task called jacocoTestReport, that collects the resources.

The covarege test can be generated with the following command:

./gradlew clean createDebugCoverageReport jacocoTestReport

It is available in html format:
