Capability Briefing Notes - Tue Jan 14 14:44:47 CST 2014
Slide 1 - Good opening slide. Two left bullets are capabilities. The
right bullet is a feature.
Slide 2 - I've got a picture for this if you want me to add it. This
will also go on the front page of the AS website.
Slide 3 - Burrowing down into the details. We can tighten this up a
bit. Don't need to talk about measurement and attestation as these are
mechanisms. Focus on capabilities here at a lower level of abstraction
than the intro slide.
Slide 4 - Too much operational detail too fast. We need to get across
what this is at a very abstract level. Measurement characterizes
running software in a way that allows assessment and is acceptable to
the target.
Slide 5 - Same comment as slide 4.
Slides 4-6 can be combined into a single slide or at least simplified
to get rid of some operational detail.
Slide 7 - Is access control a capability or a means of achieving a
capability? Do we need to talk about access control separately from
4-6?
Slide 8 - Great summary slide. Gets right to the heart of why we're doing this.
Should we think about focusing on the Heilmeyer Catechism questions?
This is not a proposal, but we might get some good input based on
this. Slide 8 made me think of this.
