Description
Benefit
Vector base maps are the modern successor to our legacy raster-based base maps. They are much quicker to generate and look much better on a range of device screen resolutions.
Acceptance Criteria
- Automated monthly updates
- Ongoing cartographic updates and fixes
- Add mile markers and exits to the Lite raster and Vector Tile basemaps
Notes
- Updates to the Lite UGRC hillshade vector tile service could be tricky since it's a mash up of vector tile hillshade polygons and Lite vector tile base map.
Risks
- Existing draft services might need to be deleted in favor of a permanent production service.

Added new acceptance criteria above to Add mile markers and exits to the Lite raster and Vector Tile basemaps. The main use case for the new "Dark" basemap is for dispatch/UHP troopers to use in their vehicles. Having the mile markers and exits available to them on the basemap will be useful.
