This engagement covers the Phase 1 design and development of a web-based Critical Minerals Atlas application built within ArcGIS Experience Builder (ExB) and hosted in the DNR ArcGIS Online (AGOL) organization. Pursuant to Senate Bill 254, the application serves as a centralized, comprehensive data clearinghouse designed to aid critical mineral development and derisk investment in Utah. The platform will feature dual viewing interfaces (public and secure tabs/views), utilizing Hub Premium AGOL identity accounts to control access to restricted layers. Project activities include aggregating spatial and textual content from eight participating state agencies, establishing security protocols, configuring application layouts, and integrating mandatory descriptive text provided by DNR and the Division of Division of Oil, Gas and Mining (OGM).
Requirements for Phase 2 of the project will be handled via a contract amendment. Requirements for Phase 2 will be collected by OGM by surveying the Critical Minerals Council.
With SOW now signed, started scheduling initial meetings with agencies that will be sharing their data for the project: OGM, UGS, DWRi, PLPCO, DEQ, DWR
Contact info for GOED, DWS, and USHE is still pending
