Summary

• Correct JSON boolean/number equality in explicit behavior arguments, recursive fixture subsets, raw exact-fixture matching, and dependent lint compatibility.
• Preserve numeric 1/1.0 equality, matching topology, finite fixtures, oracle authority, confirmation/retry rules, and infrastructure precedence.
• Prepare 0.5.8 (2026-09-06). Generator compatibility advances from 3 to 4 because lint changes suite admission; actual stored-v3 bytes/fingerprints still validate without migration.
• Add four public-model/inert-gateway installed-artifact probes alongside the prior 18. Release workflow, build/install/hash/network/receipt protocol and transport are unchanged.

Evidence

• Independently reproduced five serialized public-gateway/evaluator false PASS witnesses and wrong typed fixture selection before editing.
• 506 focused, source-bound, network-denied checks pass, including 91 JSON matching regressions and existing confirmation, retry, authored authority, fixture, version and packaging controls.
• Corrected initial 90-case regression against unchanged base: 48 assertion failures, 42 passes, zero errors. Three earlier test-construction/API setup errors were corrected and retained separately; not semantic defects or mutation kills.
• Ten individually load-bearing mutants killed by assertion failures; zero errors, timeouts or survivors. Includes separate evaluator, subset/exact fixture and lint consumers, recursive values, numeric equivalence, generator identity and artifact-case coverage.
• Focused Ruff/mypy, secret scan, workflow safety and diff checks pass.
• The frozen-v3 fixture is narrowly included in the sdist manifest.

Compatibility and pending gates

Stored suites validate their recorded identity, but reevaluation/execution uses corrected matching: prior false PASSes and incorrect fixture outcomes are not preserved. New generation explicitly adopts compatibility4.

Independent exact-head semantic/helper review, exhaustive hosted CI, and actual clean-wheel qualification remain required. No artifact qualification has been executed by this implementation task; source-only helper fixture tests are not installed-artifact evidence. No merge or release requested before those gates.
