Taking this.

Root cause on current develop: getDefaultInteractionConfigByMode still enables default select (enable: true). _parseInteractionConfig then also registers the spec interactions entry (element-select + isMultiple: true). Those two configs are not isEqual, so BaseChart._initInteractions keeps both triggers live. Default single-select (pointertap, replace) runs alongside the docs multi-select trigger (click, accumulate) and they fight on the same selected state — so the official pie multi-select example cannot keep more than one sector selected.

Plan: when spec.interactions already contains an element-select entry, skip the default select trigger from _parseDefaultInteractionConfig. Hover / dimension-hover defaults stay. select: { mode: 'multiple' } without interactions and plain default single-select should keep working. No need for select: false.

I searched for an open Fixes #4563 / Closes #4563 PR and did not find one. Will send a focused PR to develop.
