AuthMe’s pre-join dialogs open before players join, so FastLogin’s normal post-join login hook runs too late. Add compatibility that lets verified premium players skip the AuthMe login dialog while cracked players continue through it. The compatibility path also supports AuthMe builds without forceLoginFromProxy(String).
Tested: Paper 1.21.11 with AuthMe 6.0.1. Verified that premium players skip the dialog and cracked players still see it.
Summary by CodeRabbit
New Features
Eligible verified premium players can now be authenticated before AuthMe displays its login or registration prompt, avoiding an extra login step.
Pre-join authentication is supported with BungeeCord and Velocity proxies. Players who need to register or are otherwise ineligible continue through the regular login flow.
Compatibility
Updated support for the latest Paper API. Older Paper and Spigot versions continue to use the regular post-join login flow when pre-join authentication is unavailable.
Handle AuthMe login dialogs before Paper completes the player join.
Validate proxy replies against the connection challenge, account name,
and allowed proxy list; preserve registration and auto-login checks.
Use AuthMe's configuration listener session queue when its public
forceLoginFromProxy(String) API is unavailable, as in 6.0.0-b2734.
Add fallback regression tests and an optional integration check against
the official b2734 JAR's session queue and dialog skip predicate.

Walkthrough
The change adds a pre-join message protocol for Bukkit-to-proxy session requests. BungeeCord and Velocity return login actions based on session and online-mode state. Bukkit detects compatible AuthMe APIs or legacy queues, validates local or proxy session data, and can invoke AuthMe before the player joins. Session state controls auto-login event dispatch. Tests cover message serialization, proxy responses, AuthMe integration, and session behavior.
The pre-join compatibility path retains ordinary authentication fallback, and proxy recovery is no longer disabled indefinitely. No actionable merge-blocking issue remains in the inspected change.

Full details: Linked Issues check
Explanation
Issue #1361 requires compatibility with AuthMe's pre-join dialog. AuthMePreJoinListener.onConfigure runs on Paper's configuration event before the dialog. It accepts only a verified premium session with a matching player name, queues AuthMe login, and leaves non-matching or non-premium sessions on the normal AuthMe path. AuthMeHook uses forceLoginFromProxy(String) when available and discovers AuthMe's legacy proxySessionManager queue when that method is unavailable. Bungee and Velocity handlers provide the pre-join request and response path. The added tests cover both AuthMe API paths, premium and cracked flows, proxy validation, and timeout behavior.
Full details: Out of Scope Changes check
Explanation
The changed production files support issue #1361. The Paper API update supplies the configuration-event and connection APIs required by the compatibility path. BukkitLoginSession and ForceLoginTask carry pre-join state into the normal login flow. PreJoinMessage and the Bungee and Velocity listener changes implement the proxy request path. The added tests verify these changes. No unrelated production feature is established by the supplied diff summary or source evidence.

Skip the pre-join wait when the proxy does not reply.
When isEnabled() is true, requestProxySession blocks up to 5 seconds on every join. A proxy that runs an older FastLogin never replies on fastlogin:prejoin, so each player waits that full time before AuthMe login. Consider a version handshake from the proxy, or a flag that skips the wait after a missing reply. The current code has no such check.

Update the pre-join flow around request.response.get in AuthMePreJoinListener so
it does not block for five seconds on every join when the proxy does not support

proxy response and skip the wait on subsequent joins, while preserving the
existing handling of valid LoginActionMessage responses.
Add a test for a pre-join request with no session.
onPreJoinRequest returns CRACKED when no session exists for the connection. Every server-request test installs a session, so removing this null check still passes the suite. Add a test with an empty session map that expects CRACKED.

The modern-API test covers only an already-authenticated player at lines 92-95. The unauthenticated branch in AuthMeHook.forceLogin (lines 185-193) is not exercised. A regression that skips the post-join forceLoginFromProxy call would still pass. Add a case with isAuthenticated returning false, then verify the forceLoginFromProxy call.

PluginMessageListener.onPreJoinRequest replies CRACKED when plugin.getSession() has no entry for the player's remote address. The online-mode check runs only when a session exists, so the null check guards the premium branch. The current PreJoinMessageListenerTest never reaches this path because assertReply stores a session before it dispatches the event. Add a case that sends an online-mode pre-join request with an empty session map and asserts a CRACKED reply.
Without this case, removing the session != null check would dereference a null session in the online-mode branch. The catch block does not handle NullPointerException, and no test would detect that regression.

Unverified finding
We couldn't verify this from the code. It is shown for review, not as a verified issue.
The name-only AuthMe invocation has no connection identifier or visible rollback; a queued login may outlive the verified connection for which it was prepared.
AuthMe could consume the stale entry for the later connection and skip its login dialog.
This can occur when: The premium connection disconnects after its name is queued but before AuthMe consumes the queue, and a later unauthenticated connection uses the same name.
Unverified finding
We couldn't verify this from the code. It is shown for review, not as a verified issue.
Legacy queue discovery runs once during hook construction; if AuthMe registers its configuration listener later, the queue remains undiscovered and pre-join support is never registered.
Premium players continue to receive AuthMe's dialog for the lifetime of that plugin initialization.
This can occur when: FastLogin constructs AuthMeHook after AuthMe's plugin is visible but before AuthMe registers PaperDialogFlowListener.

Retry an unresponsive proxy after a 30-second cooldown, allowing only
one recovery probe while other connections fall back to AuthMe.
Clear the cooldown only when the recovery request receives a valid
response, and cancel timed-out futures so late replies cannot reset it.
Cover cooldown boundaries, competing joins, recovery, and late replies.

Fixes: TuxCoding/FastLogin#1361
AuthMe’s pre-join dialogs open before players join, so FastLogin’s normal post-join login hook runs too late. Add compatibility that lets verified premium players skip the AuthMe login dialog while cracked players continue through it. The compatibility path also supports AuthMe builds without forceLoginFromProxy(String).
Tested: Paper 1.21.11 with AuthMe 6.0.1. Verified that premium players skip the dialog and cracked players still see it.
