fix(testlist): testlist run --wait exits 6 when some cases were refused or already in flight - #706
In a mixed batch (some cases accepted, some in conflicts), testlist run --wait only polled and gated the accepted runs. So a list where one case passed and another was refused for credits, or was already in flight and failing, exited 0 with "1/1 passed".
The conflicted cases were never run by this invocation. The wait now ends in exit 6, naming them and any in-flight runs to follow (testsprite test wait <runId>), the same exit test run --all --wait returns for a hard conflict beside accepted runs. The summary line counts them (", N not run (conflict)").
npm test passes and coverage stays at or above the 80% gate.
New behavior is covered by unit tests (mock-based; no network or
credentials required).
No secrets, API keys, internal endpoints, or personal data are included.
User-facing changes are reflected in README.md / DOCUMENTATION.md where
relevant.
Notes for reviewers
src/commands/testlist.ts: after the existing gates (deferred → 7, resolveWaitFailure, assertNoNotFound), any remaining conflict throws CLIError(…, 6). The all-conflict branch and the non---wait path are unchanged.
No other run's verdict is ever adopted, which is the same choice test run makes under --ci.
Two new unit tests in testlist.spec.ts (a credits refusal beside a pass, and an in-flight case beside a pass). Both fail on main and pass with the fix. Local results: 52/52 there, full suite green, tsc / Prettier clean.
In wait mode, mixed batches with accepted runs and cases that could not be run now return exit code 6 and report the conflict reasons. When a conflict involves a run already in progress, the message includes a command to follow that run.
The completion message now shows how many cases were not run. Refused cases are counted as not run, and only runs started by the current invocation are polled.
…ed or already in flight
A mixed batch only polled and gated the accepted runs, so a list where one
case passed and another was refused for credits or already running exited 0
with "1/1 passed". Conflicted cases were never run by this invocation:
the wait now ends in exit 6 naming them (and the in-flight runs to follow),
matching test run --all --wait, and the summary line counts them.
In testlist run --wait, mixed batches with accepted runs and conflicts now report the number of cases not run and exit with code 6. The command includes conflict details and, for in-flight runs, a command to follow the run.

Summary
Mixed-batch wait result src/commands/testlist.ts, src/commands/testlist.spec.ts
The wait path exits with code 6 when accepted runs and conflicts occur together. Its completion message includes the conflict count, and the error includes a poll command when an in-flight run ID is available. Tests cover refused and in-flight conflicts.
TestSprite/testsprite-cli#696 — Changes the shared wait-failure resolver that testlist run --wait uses before applying the mixed-conflict gate.

Mixed-batch text output does not identify which cases conflicted, making retries less convenient. The change is otherwise mergeable with this limitation understood.

Full details: Title check
Explanation
The title names the fix (testlist run --wait exits 6 when some cases were refused or already in flight). That matches the main change: after the existing gates, a mixed batch with accepted runs and conflicts now exits with code 6. The title is specific and short. It does not mention the summary count or the poll command, but it does not need to cover every detail.
Full details: Linked Issues check
Explanation
Issue #703 requires that a mixed testlist run --wait batch with accepted runs and conflicts must not exit 0. The change in src/commands/testlist.ts (whole-PR diff against the merge base) meets each coding objective:
Exit 6 after the existing gates: the new block runs after if (failure) throw failure; and assertNoNotFound(resp). It throws CLIError(..., 6) when resp.conflicts.length > 0. This matches the ordering "after the existing gates" stated in #703.
Conflict details: the message uses summarizeConflicts(resp.conflicts) and names the count of cases not run.
In-flight runs to follow: currentRunId values are collected and printed as testsprite test wait <ids>. Conflicts without a currentRunId produce no poll hint.
Summary count: the completion line appends , N not run (conflict) when conflicts exist.
No adoption of other runs' verdicts: the conflicted runs are not polled or added to results.
The all-conflict branch and the non---wait path are not changed in the diff.
The two unit tests described in the PR (credits refusal beside a pass; in-flight case beside a pass) are reported in the AI summary of testlist.spec.ts. The spec diff could not be read from the checkout, so test content is not independently verified. The implementation evidence alone supports PASS. Remaining uncertainty: when several in-flight runs exist, the hint joins their IDs into one testsprite test wait command. The CLI's accepted argument shape for multiple IDs was not checked.
Full details: Out of Scope Changes check
Explanation
The whole-PR diff changes only src/commands/testlist.ts in the reviewed source. Both hunks implement #703: the summary-line suffix (, N not run (conflict)) and the post-gate conflict check that exits 6 with conflict causes and in-flight poll hints. The AI summary reports changes only in src/commands/testlist.spec.ts, consisting of two tests for the #703 scenarios. No unrelated refactors, configuration changes, or other command modules appear in the supplied evidence. The spec diff could not be read directly, so its content is accepted from the summary only.

Explanation
Docstring coverage is 0.00% which is insufficient. The required threshold is 80.00%. Docstring coverage is scoped to functions touched by this diff with cyclomatic complexity of at least 2. Documentation-only edits and deletions within surviving functions are included; unchanged diff context and fully deleted functions are excluded. Analyzed 1 functions across 2 files.

Minor · Functional Correctness · Quick win
Name each conflicted case in the mixed-batch error.
When case-b conflicts and another case passes, summarizeConflicts reports the reason count but omits case-b. Text-mode output lists only the accepted result. The user cannot identify which case to retry from the default output. Include each conflict’s testId and reason in the error detail. (raw.githubusercontent.com)
