Add workflow filename to concurrency groups src/commands/ci.ts |
buildGithubWorkflow encodes the workflow filename and adds it to the group before the pull-request number or deployment SHA. |
Verify and document group behavior src/commands/ci.spec.ts, DOCUMENTATION.md |
Tests check path-based group differences, stability, filename escaping, and event-specific keys. Documentation explains the filename component and updates both workflow examples. |

Explanation
Directly linked issue
#583has three coding objectives. The whole-PR diff (merge base a18d37c to head 219f769) was read for src/commands/ci.ts and src/commands/ci.spec.ts.-
Different workflow paths produce different groups [
#583]. buildGithubWorkflow computes workflowSlug from path.posix.basename(workflowPath) with encodeURIComponent, then escapes uppercase A-Z as %XX. The group becomes testsprite-${workflowSlug}-${{ pull_request.number || deployment.sha }}. The mapping is injective: encodeURIComponent is injective, it never escapes 'A', so %41-%5A come only from uppercase letters, and the regex consumes existing %XX escapes before it touches letters. Tests in ci.spec.ts cover web/api paths, .yml/.yaml, dot and space and colon variants, and case-only variants compared case-insensitively. -
Regeneration is deterministic and project or environment changes do not alter the group [
#583]. The slug depends only on the filename. The added test asserts equal groups for regenerated and reconfigured (projectId, environment) inputs. -
Cancellation stays within one workflow for pull_request and deployment_status [
#583]. The group keeps the PR-number or deployment-SHA expression and cancel-in-progress: true. The added it.each test covers both event shapes.
Residual limitation: the slug uses the basename only. Two files with the same basename in different directories share a group. The ci.ts comment states that generated workflows live directly under .github/workflows/, and GitHub runs workflows only from that directory. Whether --path can target other directories was not confirmed, because the inspection budget was used. This does not block the issue's stated cross-workflow cancellation scenario.

Explanation
Changes in the whole-PR diff:
- src/commands/ci.ts: adds the workflowSlug derivation and includes it in the concurrency group. The added comment on the concurrency block explains the same fix. This is the core change for
#583. - src/commands/ci.ts: the uppercase-escape step is a new change since the previous review. It is needed because GitHub compares concurrency group names case-insensitively, so TestSprite.yml and testsprite.yml would otherwise share a group. This supports objective 1 of
#583and is in scope. - src/commands/ci.spec.ts: adds regression tests for the objectives and updates the expected group string. Tests support the objective.
- DOCUMENTATION.md (summary only, +4/-2): documents the new group format. The diff was not read directly; the summary describes it as documentation of the same group format.
The ignored file src/commands/snapshots/ci.spec.ts.snap was excluded by the ignored_files rule and was not inspected. Its update follows from the group-string change. Validation statements in the PR description are reports, not code changes. No unrelated source change is shown.
- src/commands/ci.ts: adds the workflowSlug derivation and includes it in the concurrency group. The added comment on the concurrency block explains the same fix. This is the core change for

…groups GitHub compares concurrency group names case-insensitively, so TestSprite.yml and testsprite.yml still shared a group. Escape uppercase letters outside existing %XX escapes, keeping lowercase filenames and the reviewed snapshots unchanged.
What does this PR do?
Generated TestSprite workflows currently share the same concurrency group for a PR or deployment commit, so a frontend gate can cancel an independent backend gate. Include the readable workflow filename from
--pathin the group while retaining the PR-number/deployment-SHA suffix andcancel-in-progress: true. The filename keeps its extension and URI-escapes special characters instead of dropping them, so
.yml/.yamland punctuation variants remain distinct. No digest or new dependency is added. Both documentation examples and the two reviewed snapshots are updated.Related issue
