⚠️ Unverified finding
Verification ran but could not confirm this finding. It is shown for review, not as a verified issue.Update the broken-pipe comments for nonzero exit codes.
Both paths now preserve a defined
process.exitCode, but the nearby comments still say the synthetic error stays at or exits with0. That is incorrect when the process already has a nonzero exit code. State that0is only the fallback near Line 157 and Line 365.Also applies to: 369-369

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟠 Major | ⚡ Quick win
Apply the full documented precedence before the deferred gate.
If an accepted run reports a client-too-old error (exit 14) while another test remains deferred, hasAuthFailure is false. This gate then exits 7 before resolveWaitFailure can surface exit 14. The same ordering masks other per-run errors that DOCUMENTATION.md places above timeout. Check all higher-priority failures first, then let deferred tests take precedence over lower-priority outcomes. As per path instructions: “Exit-code mapping: error paths must map to the documented exit code.”

Closes #471
When a batch has rate-deferred tests, the deferred (exit 7) gate no longer fires before polling accepted runs, so a higher-priority auth/client error from an accepted run can surface first. Deferred-only batches still exit 7.
