The release job has no checkout step, so gh cannot resolve the repo from a git remote and fails with 'not a git repository'. Co-Authored-By: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com>

The release job runs without a checkout, so
ghcouldn't resolve the repository and the v2.9.6-pre release step failed after all 17 builds passed.--repo "${GITHUB_REPOSITORY}"(trusted env var) fixes it; tag will be re-pushed to re-run.
