Summary

This PR adds three major features to SparkMiner:

1. HTTP API compatible with AxeOS/ESP-Miner

  • New endpoints: /api/system/info and /api/system/statistics
  • JSON format matches ESP-Miner, so it works with HashWatcher, Home Assistant, AxeOS Dashboard, etc.
  • Can be enabled/disabled from the config portal (default: disabled, zero hashrate cost).

2. TFT-style web dashboard

  • Web interface that replicates the physical SparkMiner screen.
  • Dark theme with orange accents.
  • Responsive, auto-refresh every 5s.
  • Accessible at http://<ESP32-IP>/

3. SuperDMZ tunnel for remote access

  • New optional remote access via HTTPS tunnel.
  • URL: https://your-name.dmzgate.com
  • No need to open ports on the router.
  • Token configured in wifi_manager.cpp.

Dashboard

Changes

  • src/config/wifi_manager.cpp: API handlers, TFT dashboard, SuperDMZ integration
  • src/config/nvs_config.cpp / .h: added apiEnabled flag
  • src/main.cpp: added wifi_manager_process() call in loop
  • platformio.ini: added SuperDMZ dependency, new esp32-headless-old environment
  • devtool.toml: added new board entry
  • README.md: full documentation with installation guide
  • images/dashboard.png: screenshot

Testing

Tested on:

  • Wemos D1 R32 (ESP32-D0WD-V3, rev v3.1) ✅
  • Wemos D1 R32 (ESP32-D0WDQ6, rev v1.0) ⚠️ (works with reduced hashrate)

Notes

  • Zero hashrate cost when the API is disabled.
  • The SuperDMZ token must be filled in manually (not included in the repo).
  • Backward compatible with existing SparkMiner configurations.

Thanks for the substantial work here — the AxeOS-compatible API is the most-requested missing piece (it's essentially what #12 asks for), and the dashboard looks good. This can't be merged as-is, though.

Repo damage first. Commit aaa528c deletes all 126 release firmware binaries (firmware/v1.2.0 through v2.9.3) and rewrites .gitignore to ignore firmware/ and *.bin; a later commit replaces the project README with a fork-specific one that tells users to clone BOLANEGRA/SparkMiner and hardcode their SuperDMZ token into wifi_manager.cpp before building. Please rebase the feature work onto a branch that leaves README.md, firmware/, and .gitignore untouched — I nearly missed the firmware deletion under the size of the diff.

The tunnel is dead code as shipped. All SuperDMZ code sits behind #ifdef USE_SUPERDMZ, which no environment in platformio.ini defines — nothing tunnel-related compiles today. The costs still arrive, though: superdmz/SuperDMZ@^1.1.3 enters the shared [env] lib_deps, so PlatformIO's LDF pulls the library into every build on every board (I verified it in the link map) — a 0-star community dependency with a caret-floating version, auto-adopting whatever 1.x releases. And if someone does enable it: the token is a placeholder hardcoded in source, and s_tunnel.begin(token, 80) would forward the unauthenticated API — including the full wallet address — through the superdmz.com relay to a public URL. A public no-auth endpoint isn't something I'll ship, and a third-party relay in the default dependency tree isn't either.

On the API itself: endpoints are unauthenticated with Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *, so any webpage a LAN user visits can read the wallet address via CORS fingerprinting. Make wallet exposure opt-in. The dashboard's SDC/WiFi/POOL LEDs are hardcoded green — wire them to real state.

Please split this: (1) API + dashboard (rebased, no repo churn, wallet opt-in) — this one gets a fast review and directly serves #12; (2) the tunnel as its own PR with the token in the config portal and a clear warning, or drop it; (3) the esp32-headless-old env separately if it still matters. CI never ran on this PR (fork PRs need workflow approval) — I'll approve the workflow on the trimmed version so it actually builds.
