Software engineer in the making. Occasionally distracted by rockets.
I'm a final-year Computer Science student at University College Cork, graduating in 2027. I like building things that turn messy data into something useful — whether that's an ML platform, a live telemetry display, or a rocket simulation.
- Red Hat, OpenShift AI: shipped PRs across 5 repositories and wrote about Python/Go tests. A healthy respect for things that can fail.
- Rocket avionics: led a six-person software team across Mach-25 and Mach-26, supporting two rocket flights. My corner of the launchpad: ground-station software and image recognition.
- Susquehanna Award for Best Software Project, CS3305 (2025/26): team lead for the group project with the highest overall mark at UCC. A good team makes a difference.
CosmoSoft — a C++/Qt6 ground station for live rocket telemetry. Turning radio packets into plots people can actually use.
Final-year project — ML-guided simulation testing of rocket flight software. Can smarter test selection find failures faster? That's the question I'm investigating.
Image recognition — Python, TensorFlow, and AWS workflows for aerial imagery, including real Mach-25 launch images.
Away from these projects, you'll find me at hackathons, programming contests, and CTFs — usually learning something I didn't know I needed.
Have an interesting problem, a software opportunity, or something that flies? Let's talk.
