Is the old patch not applying cleaning to updated gamescope source?

Otherwise I'm curious how is this different from the previous patch (aside from the steamcompmgr fix).

The previous patch already uses composition shader, and since #2907 the cache based on current rotation should work as expected.

This lands right adjacent to something I need (the OLED saving pixel shifter; rotation is one of the icky bottlenecks of that pipeline) so I'm all for it; however, doesn't it rightfully belong upstream?

it's from upstream, just not merged yet
