OMBackend's own index reduction on OMJLIR, before SimCode: the structure with known values folded, Pantelides, symbolic differentiation (function derivative annotations, der() of expressions, record constructors), dummy derivatives with OpenModelica's state choice (StateSelect, prefer as artificial states), dynamic state sets in OpenModelica's form, and index reduction with arrays kept. With it: initialization (omc's rule for underdetermined systems, parameters an initial algorithm assigns), events (event iteration at the start, the re-solve by Levenberg-Marquardt and damped Newton, relations on their boundaries), error and step control, the model's Modelica functions compiled once they pay (tiered, extractor calls hoisted, call partials in the Jacobian), SimCode passes (zero flow, observed equations without cycles), noEvent for smooth() of order 1 and up. MSL 4.1.0 coverage (run 29): validate 483/534 (90.4 %) in 36.5 min. Assisted-by: Claude Opus 5.5
