Multi-view corner text: all cells or none, by the D button #92

Closed

Description

@compot-dev

Seen on the AG-216 with the #86 build: in the 3×3 grid the bottom-left corner of cell 1 shows no text, while the other cells do.

First thing to check: with D off (default), #86 shows the corner text only for cells that need attention (not connected, errors, decoder limit, paused, key frames). Cell 1 was the only one decoding at full rate, so its text was hidden on purpose. If that is the cause, decide what is better:

  • show a minimal line for full-rate cells too (e.g. just the resolution), or
  • keep it hidden but make the difference obvious (e.g. a small marker on key-frame cells only).

If D was on, it is a real bug (the stats view may be behind the overlay, or not updated for that cell).

    Decision: the corner text is shown in every cell when D is on, and in no cell when D is off. No mixed state: this replaces the #86 rule "D off shows only the cells that need attention".

    Consequence: with D off, statuses and errors (Disconnected, Connection refused, Decoder limit, Paused, key frames) are not shown either; turn D on to see why a cell is black. The same line keeps going to logcat every 5 s regardless of D.
