Summary

  • test-pr.yml: GCC ccache is restore-only (actions/cache/restore); prefer ccache-pr-gcc-master-* from the warm workflow. No per-PR save (avoids burning the 10GB Actions quota on refs/pull/N/merge entries invisible to other PRs).
  • warm-ccache-master.yml: sole writer of the shared GCC seed on master; after a successful save, a follow-up job prunes older ccache-pr-gcc-master-* keys (Actions cache keys are immutable).
  • cleanup-pr-caches.yml: on PR close (and optional workflow_dispatch), delete Actions caches scoped to refs/pull/N/merge.

Test plan

  • PR build restores ccache-pr-gcc-master-* from refs/heads/master (verified on ogc: linux-unstable: GCC ccache restore-only, cleanup, prune master seeds #22)
  • PR job has no cache save / Post Restore write of a per-PR key
  • After the next warm on master, confirm only one ccache-pr-gcc-master-* remains (prune job deleted the previous SHA)
  • Close a PR (or run cleanup with a PR number) and confirm refs/pull/N/merge caches disappear

Keep warm-ccache-master.yml as the only writer of the shared master
seed. PR builds restore it without saving per-PR entries that burn the
10GB Actions quota, and delete leftover PR-scoped caches on close.

After a successful warm save, delete older ccache-pr-gcc-master-*
Actions caches so immutable per-SHA keys do not fill the 10GB quota.
