The Expert System for Characterization using AMDIS Plus Excel® (ESCAPE) by Users’ Group for Mass Spectrometry and Chromatography (MaSC) is a semi quantitative approach to determine compound classes in materials that are of interest for cultural heritage researchers. This takes Excel master template as input and fills in the AMDIS report and a vendor Excel TIC so OpenChrom can be used as well for peak detection and identification without any copy-paste steps. I used the Natural ESCAPE template and the MaSC 2026 library for testing.
