The server builds its route table from docket/web/dist at startup and serves hashed assets as immutable. /api/graph returns records, the ids a --where/--kind/--state/--find selection keeps, and the title; layout query parameters from older pages are ignored. WalkthroughThe pull request replaces the existing web graph page with a React viewer that has Timeline and ELK-based Graph views. It adds ledger modeling, URL-persisted view state, record search, lineage navigation, theme controls, and static asset serving from a built distribution. ChangesDocket Web Viewer

📐 Maintainability & Code Quality | 🔵 Trivial | 💤 Low value
Move setFrom out of the state updater.
setFrom runs inside the setState updater. React can call an updater more than once, and in StrictMode React calls it twice. The code queues a state update from inside another updater. Read state.lineage and state.view from the render closure, call setFrom there, and keep the updater pure.

[error] 74-74: This state updater performs the nested state update "setFrom()". React may run updater functions more than once, so side effects here can repeat or observe inconsistent external state.
Keep state updater callbacks pure and return only the next state. Move notifications, storage, timers, ref writes, and other external work into the event or effect that queues the update.

[warning] 75-75: This side-effecting call runs inside a state updater, which React may invoke more than once. Move it outside the setter after computing the next state.
React may replay a state updater, so callbacks, analytics, and persistence inside it can run more than once. Compute state purely, then perform the side effect outside the setter.

🩺 Stability & Availability | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win
Handle runLayout rejection.
The promise from runLayout has no rejection handler. If the ELK worker fails, laid.sig never matches sig. The "Laying out…" overlay then stays on screen with no error, and the rejection is unhandled. Add a .catch that records an error state.

[warning] 55-55: useEffect can run with a stale laid.sig, input, state.dir & show your users old data.
Don't blindly add missing dependencies. Read the hook callback first.
Bad:
useEffect(() => {
setCount(count + 1);
}, [count]);
Better:
useEffect(() => {
setCount((currentCount) => currentCount + 1);
}, []);
If the missing value is recreated every render, move it inside the hook or stabilize it before adding it to deps.

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟠 Major | ⚡ Quick win
Set the API proxy's target Host header.
When npm run dev proxies /api/graph, the proxy keeps the development server's Host header by default. docket/web/server.py accepts only the Python server's hostname and bound port, so the API returns 403 and the development viewer cannot load records. Set changeOrigin: true on this proxy target. (vite.dev)
