[GUI] This model can read pictures, but the engine installed here does not include the picture reader yet #4772

Problem

Strata displays this message when I load DeepSeek V4.1 Flash:

"This model can read pictures, but the engine installed here does not include the picture reader yet, so Read pictures is off. Update the engine in Settings > About to turn it on."

Text generation works normally, but picture reading remains unavailable.

Environment

• Strata version: 0.2.8
• Engine version: 0.1.54
• Model: DeepSeek V4.1 Flash IST-DAS 2.00 bpw
• Operating system: Windows
• Engine executable: strata-dsv41.exe

Troubleshooting performed

1. Updated the engine through Settings > About > Update engine.
2. Checked the model's installation JSON.
3. Set ui_vision_enabled to true.
4. Set ui_vision_device to "yes".
5. Changed --vision off to --vision on in both args and args_written.

The JSON now contains --vision on, but Strata still displays the same warning.

Expected behavior

Strata should recognise the model's vision capability and enable picture reading when the installed engine supports it.

Actual behavior

The warning remains visible and picture reading is unavailable, even with --vision on in the model configuration.

Question

Is this a GUI capability-detection issue, an engine issue, or is an additional vision component or configuration required on Windows?
