Connect Your Calendar

Google Calendar – Full integration: read events, add recommendations directly.
iCal / ICS feed – Paste a public calendar URL (e.g. from Google Calendar’s “Secret address in iCal format”). Recommendations are downloaded as an ICS file to import.

Get Started

1. Clone and install

   git clone https://github.com/Morkeeth/Loop.git
   cd loop-labs-main
   npm install

2. Set up environment

   cp env.example .env.local

   Add your API keys to .env.local:

   NEXT_PUBLIC_GOOGLE_CLIENT_ID=your_google_client_id
   GOOGLE_CLIENT_SECRET=your_google_client_secret
   GOOGLE_REDIRECT_URI=http://localhost:3000/api/auth/callback
   OPENAI_API_KEY=your_openai_api_key

3. Run locally

   npm run dev

   Open http://localhost:3000 (or the port shown in terminal)

API Endpoints

• GET /api/calendar - Fetch calendar events
• POST /api/calendar - Create single event
• POST /api/calendar/events - Bulk-add recommended events to calendar
• POST /api/persona - Generate AI persona from calendar
• POST /api/discover - Multi-step event discovery (Perplexity search → GPT-4o pick → URL verify)
• GET /api/user/state - Returns server-side persona + current event for returning users
• POST /api/feedback - Save event feedback (thumbs up/down)
