The upgrade macro looks fine, but you've got a new .versions file which should be deleted. It probably came during an aborted run of apply_macros.py

I would suggest setting !kind=double here and for the other 2 real-valued inputs - we are going to pass these values direct to jules at double precision (r_um), hence it makes sense to read them in at double precision (rather than the default which is usually single now)

Without the new code the coupled app took 261 seconds. |

Can these metadata changes please be moved to:
interfaces/jules_interface/rose-meta/lfric-jules-shared/jules-sea-seaice/HEAD/rose-meta.conf
Thanks.

Can you please run rose config-dump -C interfaces/jules_interface/rose-meta/lfric-jules-shared/jules-sea-seaice/HEAD/ thanks.

I realise now that this group of tickets has not been passed into review yet as the UM branch doesn't have a PR yet. Perhaps this should be a draft still? I can't give approval until all repos are submitted.

All the lines ns=namelist/Science/JULES Surface/Sea and sea-ice need deleting as the panels have been reorganised for JULES Science Settings

Approved. This looks fine to me.

I am happy that the science in this PR is correct and will pass it on to Erica Neininger (@ericaneininger) for code review. I will note only that there are still outstanding comments about metadata, but am unsure when those need to be resolved, so it seems sensible to defer the question to CR. |

James Bruten (@james-bruten-mo) has this automatically been bumped to "Ready to be merged with Main" as you'd previously approved the upgrade macro before you were assigned CR? There's pending metadata changes linked with this before it can be merged with Main. Thanks. |

I have merged in main and fixed a couple of upgrade macro issues that arose. I have also updated the KGOs for the coupled rose-stem test as this new code is turned on on purpose as this new code is in GC6 so should be routinely tested. All rose-stem tests then pass. |

I don't think the upgrade macro should be repeated here. James Bruten (@james-bruten-mo)?

Approved, but I think you should update your testing. 2026-04-10 is when the Rose stem was run on the PR summary.

All good other than the macro in the lfric-shared metadata. A slight namespace clash with jules-shared, but this is a completely separate thing
