Field report 2026-10-08: zoomed, holding the left button (Explorer drag-select, or a plain held click in Prism) makes the view shake or shift repeatedly. Plain panning is fine. Seen with RDR2 open in the background.
Cause (code read): in a DWM-centring session every changed tick writes Wind's view and then nudges the pointer a pixel and back so DWM re-centres by its own rule in the same frame (NudgeAfterWrite). The nudge is skipped while a button is held (ClickInProgress, it broke clicks), but the write still goes out. So during a hold the frame alternates between Wind's centre (tick-sampled, no learned hotspot offset) and DWM's centre (per cursor event): the shake.
Fix: in a DWM-centring session, hold pan-only writes while a click is in progress; DWM keeps centring on every cursor event. The first tick after the click window writes and nudges as usual.
