Field + measured (harness end_shake_test.py): with smooth sampling and an ease-out of 150-300 ms, the pointer tip jumps 18-30 px at the end of a zoom around 5-6x, while it stays within 1-3 px during the zoom and with no ease-out. Suspected: after the truncated ease-out stops the controller on the shown level, the ladder re-snaps that level (direction 0) to a neighbouring clean level.
