…e placeholders #4466 made Dockerfile.web run run-boot-size-check.sh, which forces COMPASS_CONFIG_FILE=.github/perf/compass.boot-size.yaml. Staging-cloud v1.3.164 shipped a bundle pointing at https://api.compasscalendar.com/api with a placeholder PostHog key, so calendars and events failed to load.

Staging outage fix. #4466 changed Dockerfile.web to run
.github/perf/run-boot-size-check.sh, which overridesCOMPASS_CONFIG_FILEwith.github/perf/compass.boot-size.yaml. The v1.3.164 staging-cloud web bundle therefore callshttps://api.compasscalendar.com/api(connection closed) with a placeholder PostHog key, so the sidebar shows "Couldn't load calendars" and the grid spins.Fix: Dockerfile.web builds with its own generated compass.yaml again. Boot size stays gated per PR in boot-bundle.yml. The docker-compose test now asserts the image never runs the boot-size script or overrides COMPASS_CONFIG_FILE.
Production was not deployed with this bug; it would have broken prod the same way.
