Summary

Pin every GitHub Action reference to a full commit SHA and run the pull request build on the oldest Node that package.json allows as well as on Node 24.

Changes

  • Each uses: in .github/workflows points to a commit SHA with the release tag in a trailing comment. Dependabot (github-actions, weekly) updates the SHA and the comment together. Actions that these actions call internally are not covered by the pin.
  • pr-build.yml runs as a matrix over Node 22.23.4 (engines floor) and 24. The deploy stays on Node 24.

Validation

  • Each SHA is the commit of its tag: gh api repos/<action>/git/ref/tags/<tag> (annotated tags dereferenced) and gh api repos/<action>/commits/<sha> match for the 4 pins this repo uses.
  • actionlint 1.7.12 on the branch: no findings.
  • Deploy workflow dispatched on the branch: build job green with the pinned actions, https://github.com/Interra-Project/Interra-Project.github.io/actions/runs/39802733774 (the deploy job is refused by the environment rule, as intended).
  • The matrix legs run on this PR.

Each action now points to a full commit SHA with its release tag in a comment, so a moved tag cannot change what runs; Dependabot updates the SHA and the comment together. The pull request build now runs on Node 22.23.4, the oldest version package.json allows, as well as on Node 24.
