A terminal dashboard for Arch Linux and Omarchy: what the next update brings, and what is already failing. It only reads and never asks for root.
omarchy pkg add rumb # install
omarchy update # update, with the rest of the system
omarchy pkg drop rumb # uninstallsudo pacman -S --needed git make cargo jq pacman-contrib fakeroot
git clone https://github.com/HANCORE-linux/rumb && cd rumb
make && sudo make install # install
git pull && make && sudo make install # update
sudo make uninstall # uninstallmake install puts rumb in /usr/local, and /usr/local/bin comes before /usr/bin in PATH. Before you switch to the Omarchy package, run sudo make uninstall in the rumb folder (clone it again if it is gone), or rumb keeps starting the old copy.
Run rumb. The manual is man rumb.
rumb draws the eye, the icons and the graphs as images.
- foot, kitty and Ghostty are supported.
- Alacritty cannot show images, so the eye and the icons stay empty. It is not supported.
- Other terminals are untested.
- CONTRIBUTING.md explains how to build rumb, run the checks and open a pull request.
- Design changes are not accepted, only proposals: open an issue with before/after screenshots.
