Summary

  • Cancel pending, buffered, and asynchronous submissions on Ctrl+C without allowing cancelled code to resume.
  • Preserve incomplete R input for editing after completed expressions, and handle rejected backend submissions without leaving the console stuck executing.
  • Correct raw-string tokenization and preserve raw contents through submission parsing.
  • Prevent interactive Enter and multiline paste from applying stale asynchronous completeness results or losing newer input.

Validation

  • Unit regression tests cover cancellation, unsent input recovery, submission races, native parser fallbacks, and raw-string delimiters.
  • Real-R raw-string evaluation is included in test:runtime.
  • Existing CI and runtime-build workflows validate the PR across Linux, macOS, and Windows.

The submission queue and R execution lifecycle remain unchanged by the Enter/paste race fix; no extra waits or parser calls were added.
