I don't know if this project is abandoned or what. I compiled a new version with some changes: now it works without having to rename the .exe, and the values are saved in a .json file, so you only need to load the program after starting the game.
I could publish this modification, if it is allowed. I don't really know, but anyway, all the credit would be linked to this github project page.
Sorry but I have no idea at all how to do that. The source code with my modifications is included in the Fov-Menu.zip file above, if anybody knows how to do that go ahead. All credit goes to the guys that originally developed it here.
Apart from the modifications I think the only main difference is that I compiled it for .net 8 instead of the original .net 7.
As a side note, I discovered that the program sometimes does not load if you put in the Forza Horizon root folder, but it always does if you put it on a subfolder, so I updated the .bat launcher accordingly.
@Milincho It seems like half of the cams are not working properly (still capped by game's limitations). Can you check if that's the case? Game version 364.933

You just have to rename forzahorizon6.exe to forzahorizon5.exe 😆
It works like a charm.

I also made a launcher that launches the game and the FOV changer and closes it after 30 seconds.
Don't know how much time Nexusmods will take to check the files, so if you are in a hurry:

@Milincho could you upload the changes as a fork to this repo and make a pr so this can be integrated upstream?

yeah, the game keeps resetting the changes unfortunately, any workaround/fix?
Milincho commentedon Jul 30, 2026
There is no need to use an external program anymore. This mod works within the game itself: https://www.nexusmods.com/forzahorizon6/mods/206
