PROTEUS framework lockup: the wordmark with the phase glyph as the O

Simulate the coupled interior-atmosphere evolution of rocky planets and exoplanets through deep time.

PROTEUS (/ˈproʊtiəs/, PROH-tee-əs) is a modular Python framework that follows a rocky planet from a molten magma ocean to a solid surface. It couples the interior, the atmosphere, the star and the orbit of the planet in one time-stepping loop.

Get started

Follow the installation guide, then run the quick start: a run with dummy modules that takes less than a minute. The Earth analogue tutorial is a full run with Aragog, Zalmoxis, CALLIOPE and AGNI.
