Curvilinear topography with asymmetric operators (Bartana, Xu & Rickett): collocated fields and a rotated traction-free surface, stable on the hills where the chain-rule version diverged. Sources, receivers, models and snapshots are physical-grid quantities on a curvilinear grid too (models mapped differentiably); registered gradients are cropped per face and taken back to the model grid.

APM is removed: ElasticAPM, the APM steps, its CUDA kernels (entries 65 and 71 retired, numbers kept), tests, gate config and docs. topo_method takes 'auto' or 'image'. The other kernels' SASS is unchanged.

First of three stacked PRs (this, then feat/sem, then feat/sem-biot); merge them in order with merge commits.

Checks: full CPU suite fails the same two tests as dev and nothing else; the API gate shows only dev's existing drift.

ElasticCurvilinear follows Bartana, Xu & Rickett: collocated fields,
asymmetric operators and a rotated traction-free surface, stable on the
hills where the chain-rule version diverged. Curvilinear topography may be
fractional; sources, receivers and models are physical-grid quantities, as
on every grid: the propagator maps them onto the boundary-fitted rows
(models differentiably, so the gradient is the physical grid's) and its
snapshots back. Registered gradients are cropped per face (a free surface
has no top pad) and taken back to the model grid.
APM goes: ElasticAPM, the equations' APM steps, the CUDA kernels (entries
65 and 71 retired, their numbers kept), its tests, gate config and docs.
topo_method takes 'auto' or 'image'. The other kernels' SASS is unchanged.
