Is W3 representative of the survey? (depth, PSF, noise) #349

Description

@cailmdaley

The one-SOM n(z) calibration (#274) assumes the UNIONS imaging in W3 is representative of the full footprint. Compare the W3 distributions of depth, PSF size and background noise with the whole survey, as KiDS did for its calibration fields (a fair-draw test). Also check the noise properties of the spectroscopic calibration sample. If W3 is not representative, #274 switches to the two-SOM approach.
