I can add a lightweight CI-safe smoke test that injects a representative event into the local notification pipeline, verifies successful processing and notification payload generation, and mocks or disables external delivery so no real messages are sent. I’ll keep the setup minimal and deterministic, then document the required setup and execution command alongside the test.

Description
Create a lightweight smoke test that exercises the primary local notification path from event ingestion through notification generation.
The test should avoid sending messages to real external services.
Acceptance Criteria
A representative event can enter the local pipeline.
Event processing completes successfully.
A notification payload is generated.
External notification delivery is mocked or disabled.
The test can run reliably in CI.
Setup and execution are documented.
