Mac push: The remaining test-only macOS assumptions (from #2047) #2061

Closed

Description

@AbirAbbas

This draft was closed, unmerged, when the 2026-10-29 Mac stability and performance push was stopped early to save usage. Its branch is kept: reopen the PR or start from the branch, rebase onto the latest base, and finish the steps below.

PR: #2047 (tests: the last test-only Mac assumptions (T3-T7))
Branch: test/mac-test-assumptions

What it fixes. Test-only: the remaining tests that assume Linux (classes T3-T7), so a full Mac go test ./... can run clean.

Done. Fixes prepared on top of #2033.

Left. Rebase after #2033 merges; full Mac go test ./... vs base by test name.

    Merged via #2047 (app/v3 f7714ed). After rebasing onto app/v3, most of the branch was already there through #2099. What's left fixes cellstore's socket fixtures and remote's stamp answers. On macOS 15.6 arm64, internal/cellstore and internal/remote pass 3/3 on the branch, while base fails TestSocketIsKeyedToTheEngineBinary, TestR9UnixShortSocketOrder and TestR9UnixShortSocketRejectsPreclaimedDirectory in all 3 runs. CI has no failure outside the app/v3 baseline except two flakes that also fail on unrelated branches. Codex review clean.
