What it fixes. The app's file stat and agent listing compared a chat folder and a file by spelling, so a file inside the folder looked outside it through a linked path on macOS.

Merged in #2038 (squash fe666c9 on app/v3), rebased onto app/v3 f7422fb. CI on the rebased head (PR gate and Full check, failed jobs re-run once) failed only on tests that also fail on the app/v3 baseline, or that flaked on unrelated branches in the same rounds. Code review of the rebased head: no findings. Not yet exercised on a real Mac: nothing Mac-specific; the exact file-picker spelling on macOS was not tried by hand.
