Notes Fail to Load and Then Unintentionally Deleted

Opening a solution with valid notes.notey file, with content in it, failed to populate the VSNotey window with text.
Then, upon closing the solution, the notes.notey file seems to be overwritten with the current content in the VSNotey window, which effective deletes the contents of notes.notey and is un-recoverable.
