Entry in accept.txt is ignored in Microsoft.Headings

I have the following defined in my vocabulary under accept.txt:

DarkSky

and would expect that the following headline

## Welcome to *DarkSky*

would not result in a title case error. It does, though. Is there a specific way to configure The .Headings rule to ignore settings in accept.txt?

As you can see this occurs in both, Google and Microsoft packages. If this is a global issue let me know and I'll move my issue to the Vale repository.

accept.txt does work with Microsoft.Headings — I tested on vale 3.3.0, 3.9.0, and 3.16.0, and DarkSky is suppressed in all three. So this isn't a difference between the Google and Microsoft packages, and it isn't a regression.

Two things have to be true, and the second one is easy to miss:

1. .vale.ini needs a Vocab key. Creating styles/config/vocabularies/<name>/accept.txt on its own has no effect — the vocabulary has to be switched on:

StylesPath = styles
Vocab = MyProject

[*.md]
BasedOnStyles = Microsoft

2. Entries are case-sensitive. darksky won't match DarkSky.

Here's the behaviour I measured, using your heading:

setup	result
accept.txt present, no Vocab key	still flagged
Vocab set, entry DarkSky	suppressed
Vocab set, entry darksky	still flagged

Since your report mentions the file but not the Vocab key, I suspect that's the cause.

One oddity worth checking: your heading uses italics (## Welcome to *DarkSky*), and that form doesn't flag here at all — with or without a vocabulary. Only the unitalicized ## Welcome to DarkSky does. If you can still reproduce this after adding the Vocab key, could you paste your .vale.ini along with the exact heading? Happy to reopen.

And to answer your last question: no need to move this to the Vale repo — it's configuration rather than a bug in either place.
