Ignore some panels/buffers

I installed vim-ultest plugin which opens a right panel at the side of the current buffer (test file).
The problem occurs when I have NerdTree open, when this test panel get focus NerdTree immediately highlights the base folder directory (the project folder) changing the root location to the parent folder where this project is located.

Any way to tell nerdtree-sync to ignore buffers (panels) of kind ultest?
