1.As an Android kayboard which is designed for terminal.I think it would be better if could hide and summon keyboard. While using vim in ther terminal in Android, once you hide keyboard, once you hide the keyboard, tapping the screen alone is not enough to bring it back up. At the same time, you may sometimes need to scroll up and down to view content on the screen – and with such a small phone screen, leaving the keyboard open takes up too much space and gets in the way.
Therefore, I hope you can add explicit methods to both summon and dismiss the keyboard. For the latter, you can learn from input methods like Fcitx5‑Android and Florisboard: both of them provide a “∨” button on the toolbar, and tapping it hides the keyboard. For the former (summoning), I suggest adding an optional floating button (or similar control) in the settings, where users can choose whether to enable it. When the keyboard is active, the floating button disappears; when the keyboard is hidden, the floating button reappears.

Regarding clipboard management: currently, clipboard entries can only be deleted one by one, which is very cumbersome. I would like to see improvements inspired by Gboard, Fcitx5‑Android, Florisboard, etc. For example, Fcitx allows you to delete all non‑pinned entries at once. You could also implement a dialog with three options: “Delete All”, “Delete Non‑pinned”, and “Cancel”. In addition, Fcitx supports swipe‑to‑delete (left/right) on clipboard items, which is sometimes faster and more satisfying than tapping each one individually. Gboard offers a batch selection mode, which is also worth learning.
-
Toolbar: I think you could add a customizable toolbar where users can place frequently used actions, so that they can be accessed with a single tap without scrolling. Fcitx also provides an option to hide the toolbar buttons on the left side to prevent accidental touches – that could be a useful reference.
-
Text editing: I would really like to have a full text‑editing panel similar to the one in Fcitx5‑Android. In that panel, you can move the cursor up/down/left/right, jump to the beginning or end, select text, cut, copy, paste, select all, etc. You don’t have to copy it exactly – you could add extra features like “Move to Start of Line” and “Move to End of Line” for even better usability.
