Media Metadata Manager (M3)

Media Metadata Manager is a macOS app that takes a finished video download and gets it ready for your media library: correctly named, fully tagged, with artwork, in the folder your media server reads. I build and maintain it in my spare time.

What it does

• Tags and edits MP4, M4V and MKV files, with metadata from TheMovieDB, TheTVDB and your own custom sources.
• Merges split releases losslessly. Multi-part movies are joined without re-encoding, with a chapter at each join.
• Cleans up names. It reads messy release names and proposes a tidy Title Vol N [Studio] (Year) name and folder, which you approve.
• Watches your download folders. A Queue shows each item waiting for naming, tagging or merging, and moves finished files into a "Ready for Media Library" folder.
• Scans a library for files that are missing metadata.
• Stays safe. Nothing is deleted; cleanup goes to the Trash and is logged, and every automatic step is opt-in.

Built on Subler

M3 is a fork of Subler, created by Damiano Galassi and contributors, and it builds on the same MP42Foundation muxing library. It is released under the same GPLv2 license, and I am grateful for the years of work that made it possible. Credit for that foundation stays with the original author.
