+ notes: 'PR #3040 open. ECMWF''s fckit: Fortran/C++ toolkit (ecbuild/CMake, Fortran+C++17) wrapping eckit for Fortran callers (logging/MPI/configuration); no Python bindings, just a compiled library + headers + Fortran .mod files distributed as a wheel, same pattern as our already-published eckitlib/eccodeslib. Upstream publishes no sdist, only prebuilt wheels built by ECMWF''s private wheelmaker tool; this replays its python/fckitlib/buildconfig CMAKE_PARAMS directly (-Deckit_ROOT=<eckitlib install>). gfortran is present in the manylinux_riscv64 image (build-scikit-misc.yml already compiles real Fortran there). Builds against our own published eckitlib (2.3.0.30) rather than upstream''s exact eckitlib==2.0.7.19 pin, which our registry does not carry; bundles libgfortran/libquadmath (not on the manylinux baseline) and repoints the RPATH at a sibling eckitlib package, since upstream''s own published wheel carries an absolute build-container RPATH that cannot resolve for installers. No local build check: no docker daemon available in this sandbox, and host disk was at ~7.2GB free with other concurrent agents active.'
